Hi All,

I wondered if there were any plans for Blitz/IDIGICON to produce any programming books for Blitz+/Blitz3D?

I got "Learn to program 2D games in BB" when I bought Blitz2D, but a search for any books on Blitz+/3D has proved fruitless. There are some good tutorials on the web etc., but I just wondered why there weren't any programming books available for Blitz given its apparent popularity.

=/

Also, when BlitzMAX is done, will this incorporate features from all three current iterations of Blitz? or will it be something different again?

TIA

It will something different again, but it should be downwards-compatible with previous versions of Blitz. ie, your blitz2d/3d/plus code should be able to be compiled with little or no modification in BlitzMax.

BlitzMax won't be out for some time though.

Anybody got an idea of when Blitzmax will be out?

Nobody. But not anytime soon.

Which is true of the game I'm making too, incidentally. I have no idea when it will be finished. But it's months away, not days.
