============================================================ DOUBLE POST - SORRY - THOUGHT MY WEB CONNECTION WAS GOOSED!! ============================================================ How do I make the transparent colour of a texture a colour other than black. Basically, I have a quad which lies underneath the car and is aligned to the underlying track. I want the detail of the car to be painted onto the shadow surface in black and ignore the other parts of the texture. I also need the black to be alpha .25 or suchlike. I'm making the texture with the inbuilt comand - createtexture(64,64) etc.. I did come across this problem when I needed black to be the transparent color and used this :- for x=0 to texturewidth():for y=0 to textureheight() writepixel x,y,0 next:next Can anyone help or advise on how best to do this? |

Ugh.. this is blending, and I always get blend modes the wrong way around. I'm 99% sure it's Multiply Blend mode that you want. It will ignore white pixels and draw black pixels, thus eliminating the necessity to writepixel every pixel the way you're doing. EntityBlend carshadow,2 EntityAlpha carshadow,0.25 |
