does any one knoiw in true space five if you can put a picture in theback ground while modeling to woork of

Not too sure about TS5, but you can just create a plane the same proportions as the image and then just texture the plane with the image. Then you can trace to your hearts content.

I believe you can put the image on a drawplane (or whatever they're called).

There is an option in the Display setup (Top right of screen) that allows yoo to have a background image displayed.

wher is it i gpt display setup but could not find it are you refering to truspace five or a diffrent version

You have two possibilities in TS5:

1. draw a drawpanel with the drawpanel tool (next to the deform tools)
right click the drawpanel tool and set the picture in the drawpanel options

or

2. set a picture as a background shader and click the button [show background color/image] in the display options...
