3D file format

Hi, to export an animated model (character) from my anim tool, I've the choice between *.X and *.B3D format ... What is the best choice (and "why" if it's possible ;)) ? TIA. |

.B3D Usually works right... ;) |

B3D supports the most animation options, and generally works better than any other file format in Blitz. Working with .x files will potentially cause problems at some stage. |
| ||
And if you model is boned/skinned .X format will not work. Blitz3D supports only DX7 .X which doesn't have skinning. .B3D has that and will work nicely. |

Okay, so .x is good to avoid if you can manage it. What about .3ds? (Apologies if there's something about 3ds that means it's *obviously* unsuitable) |

Ok thanks for your answers, I then will go for the B3D file format. |
