..im looking for some good article with math equitation related to racing game physics, particularly, dynamic friction for tires..im trying to make nice side drifting in curves, based on input velocity and car mass...car set by physics working fine, but due constant friction coefficient, its all nice long as car doesn't move fast, so anyone knows some good article for such thing i can apply on my vehicle? there is a many sites with information about car physics, or race car physics... i lost the links... maibe you can find the web sites seaching in google "race car physics" forumles, calculates or something... saludos.. santi |

well..there is sources, I got few but this turned really messy..i mean, Physx providing friction factors but numbers are weird..and its kind a difficult to keep them in sync for proper drift...i mean, for proper friction with ground without sliding in idle, i have to set value of 10 000 000, while friction causing drift is 10 000 (as well as other higher values, but its not uniform rule so its somehow different from road track to road track), so go figure this parameters with factors..I was trying to get some Physx docs from developer site and see are there any explanation about this factors but i got nothing..ihh |
