Hi everyone,

what do you think would be the best font to use with the BlitzMax IDE? I'm using courier new and tried some others, but I think there are fonts, that are clearer to read and perhaps especially made for programming?

Thanks for your help!
Joerg

I like using consolas more modern.

Im using ProggyClean, with the TTSZBP variant for clarity.
As im still on a CRT, most of the "cool" monospaced fonts have really low readability :(

Lucida Console.

Definitely 'Consolas', by a lonnggg way.

On the mac I'm using Optima Regular 16pt.

Bitstream Vera Sans Mono.

Clean, crisp, and it's very easy to tell apart things like '1','l','I', or 'O' and '0'

Consolas rules the roost for me too. If you don't have it, Microsoft released a download for it a few years ago.

Consolas... so much that I copied it to my mac as well.

Personally, I find the Blitz font that comes with the Blitz3D IDE the easiest to read.

Woo, just tried out Consolas, it surely is a great font.

Thanks for your help. Great fonts!

Few years ago, I used the Andale Mono font (looks a bit like the Vera Sans). It was on a CD I think, but now it seems to be commercial...

Consolas (14 bold) here too .. its monospace and even still has the line through the 0(zero) for easier reading. about the only thing i don't really like aboutit (reeeally just being picky now) is the ~ is down across the middle instead of at the top of the character space like on old computers i used to use many years ago. oh.. and the old ansi PC graphics chars i miss them too
