Modules Downloads - Where next?
BlitzMax Forums/Brucey's Modules/Modules Downloads - Where next?

Hello folks. So Google are shutting down the Downloads section of google code in January. This is where I host all the release downloads for all my projects (bah mods, wxMax, etc). Well, I say shutting down, but in reality they are going to prevent the addition of new downloads, which kind of makes it hard to put new releases of modules on there, and therefore requires me to find a new place for them all to live. I currently have bintray.com under consideration, but if anyone has any other bright ideas (that don't include the ad-infested-hell that is sourceforge), I'm all ears! Thanks for your time. |

Albeit github does not have download counters... they re-enabled binary downloads at the beginning of this year. Just have a look at "releases" (so they call the binary blobs). I know that surely outwhere exists dozens of solutions - but github is well known, fast served - and has a version control included :D. PS: thanks for the nice find of bintray... added to favs for a hopefully deeper check in the future. bye Ron |

Sourceforge, of course. EDIT: Thank you for taking the time to re-upload them. EDIT2: I have just read that you're not looking for Sourceforge. Oh, well. |

I remember using Bitbucket for my last project. But I guess everyone is all for Github ? Anything, as long you can easily download zipped sources :-) |
