Hello fellow programmers! I'm looking to create a "Sticky Notes" kind of application and that would mean notes that you simply stick to the desktop and they stay there all the time - even when you click the "Show Desktop" button (which normally minimizes all applications). Does anyone know how to achieve this in Windows? Thank you!

There are probably numerous examples on Planet Source Code showing a sticky note application. Look under the VB section. It should be easy enough to convert to BM.

Windows7 and Windows8 come with sticky notes 'built in', not sure on XP. Or do you actually want to code it yourself? Sticky Notes

Thanks for the replies! I forgot I created this thread =P I'll look through the 'Planet Source Code' examples and see if I can find something useful! I've been looking for the "perfect" sticky notes application, which only sticks the notes to the desktop and doesn't go away when clicking the "Show Desktop" button and with the option to show all notes on top of all windows when needed etc - and all the sticky notes applications out there that I could find does not meet my requirements sadly =P
