Shortcuts like CMD + A (or CTRL + A) do not work. There simply isn't happening anything when trying to execute shortcuts.

So how would I paste copied text into a MaxGUI app?

GadgetPaste pastes the contents of the clipboard into a TextArea gadget. There is also GadgetCopy and GadgetCut for the other operations.
