I just purchased renoise still under the illusion you were able to save in the Mod/XM/IT Format. Boy was i wrong. I was just so impressed by their gui interface a easy of use. I just had to have it. The sound output is just amazing. On thing is it only outputs to WAV and their native format, thers is no way to convert wavs to mod and so on. check em out www.renoise.com Let this be a lesson kids! Always try out the demo and eval a product carefully.... |

Yeah - bit of a shame that. You could always use Renoise for making mod-sounding mp3s and oggs and whatnot (generally tracker produced music has a 'feel' that seems to be a part of how it's produced) - it really does sound nice. :o) For saving as MOD, XM etc I've just tripped over a new(ish) one in development called Skale Tracker ( http://www.skale.org ). It's still in beta, but it's freeware and it's looking special. Then there's Modplug Tracker, Mad Tracker etc etc - but I'm sure you already know about these - all of a high quality. |

It would be great if they had a DLL to include in Blitz to playback Renoise tracks. But I guess that is a far fetched wish. |

Maybe in *another* 4 years. |

EDIT: And if you spot any tips on double posting, let me know. |

Didnt DarkLordz die or post on the forum that he had died. How can he post on the forum that he died, if he was dead..... I remeber that "I'm dead" thread. He may have been stoned or something. :) We'll never know. |
| ||
IIRC, he did the "This isn't me.. I mean him.. I'm really my sister.. I mean his sister. Dammit.." thing. |

OK, then note this tonyg and Gabriel: Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists. If you want to complain, don't complain to me ;) |

Cool. I was somewhat articulate 4 years ago. :o) Of course, the new(ish) Skale Tracker has spent the last two years being hammered with "Skale is dead?!" enquiries due to inactivity. Still, it was promising 4 four ago. |

OK, then note this tonyg and Gabriel: Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists. If you want to complain, don't complain to me ;) Yes, search. To see if your question has been answered. It doesn't mention anything about bumping it four years later. Realistically you knew when you searched that a DLL likely didn't exist, but if there was a slight possibility that it did, it would have been better to start a new thread. As it is, since your question is significantly off from the original topic, you might well get someone who knows reading the first post ( particularly since it's a short thread ) and leaving without ever reading your question. I wasn't complaining so much as I was expressing that it probably wasn't the best way to get an answer. But ok. |

Renoise is not dead, it is very well alive and as strong if not stronger than it was 4 years ago. About the same as Blitz3D. So it is still time to talk to the Renoise team to have a DLL. http://www.renoise.com/ Gabriel: What exactly are you trying to say? ;) |
| ||
Yep, you're right. It's not my forum so not my business. |

It would be great if they had a DLL to include in Blitz to playback Renoise tracks. But I guess that is a far fetched wish. Digging up a four year old thread when you've absolutely nothing constructive to add to it, is ridiculous. Renoise is not dead, it is very well alive and as strong if not stronger than it was 4 years ago. Nobody said it was.Darklordz (the original poster of this thread) was basically a nutjob. He posted a suicide note here, then posted later to say it was all a big joke and was surprised when it got everyone's backs up. He then posted pretending to be his mum or his sister or something, saying he had died. His account was banned after that. Good riddance, imho. |
