Hi there, this is a little off topic but I need to record a voiceover for a video and was looking for a good freeware sound recording software package?

Can anyone recommend one?

Doesnt have to do anything too fancy, just clear up background noise (if any) and be able to drop out in high quality WAV or MP3 format.

Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

But the software program doesn't have much to do with the quality of the recording - that's down to the audio interface...
