The link to Lee Page's Lightwave to B3D converter is dead. Does anyone know where I can download it, please?

To be honest, I always had UV problems with Lee's LW converter. My suggestion is Ultimate Unwrap. In LW I export in .X format (using FUI's free exporter) load it up in Ultimate Unwrap and export it to .B3D format. It's a little bit of a pain but at least the UVs stay intact that way.

@Dustin
the only UV problems i ever had were due to leaving the skelegons in the model, i know the docs says its ok, but it aint if you remove them and work on a copy , UVs should be fine

Hi All,

I recently moved hosting provider, so it's been a bit of upheaval. I emailed Mark a week ago to ask him to update the links to the convertors, but haven't had a reply or had anything updated, so maybe he's not around at the moment.

The new link is Here

As Scribbla says, if you're having UV probs then best to keep the skellys out and triangulate the model before saving. I've found working on one copy, then exporting a second when you want to convert the best practice.

The .LWO format is pretty complicated (It holds a lot more information than most Model formats I've come across) and UV information is in a particularly 'Far out' format.
