Hi all,

Given a movie file, how could we embed/modify sound to the movie (file format eg. avi/wmv/mpg,etc.) easily?

What tools would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.
:)

VirtualDub ( it's not easy, but it works) to extract/mix the audio, Audacity to modify the audio file.
Or try this http://sourceforge.net/projects/jahshakafx

I am using MAGIX video deluxe. In the UK it's named "MAGIX movie editor" or something like that. Some companies sell older versions (eg. version of 2005) for little money. It's very beginner friendly. You can drag'n drop etc. movies and audio on the tracks easily. It also includes excellent noise reduction tools. It's not far away from the power of adobe premiere, but much easier to learn, and lots cheaper.

Thank you.

BTW, did anyone try "ulead video studio"?

I think I tried it once. In some reviews there have been only a few apps one the semi professional level, that's sony vegas, adobe premiere, magix video deluxe, avid and a few more.
Note a tool like avid (there's a free lite version) may take some time to become familar with.

In winxp, there is movie maker. It is a very nice program.
