Interesting, I am attempting to do something similar, but with 6 low poly terrains. Trying to make a sphere. |

why 6 terrains? what's the problem with the spheres? |

Maybe I am doing it wrong, but I don't want to draw the whole thing at once. With a cube, you only see three sides at one time. |

hmm, can't help you on that front as I let OpenGL handle that. But I take your point - some form of fast facing removal would be good. But, when dealing with arbitrary rotational objects, then perspective, then movement, etc. Hidden facing and determining is best left to the (very fast) GPU? |
