A Model of a german Haunebus (WIP).

What do you think?

Matty(Posted 2008) [#2]
Unusual, looks a bit like a frisbee. Perhaps needs some extra details on the texture?

hmm...where's teh model?

plash(Posted 2009) [#5]
This is a real picture with the UFO edited in? (it has a defined signature, which the other objects in the scene do not have)

GaryV(Posted 2009) [#6]
Good rendition of a Haunebus, only too smooth and rounded. The Haunebus was a tad more angular.

Mustang(Posted 2009) [#7]
Pretty, but it could be bit more squarish... probaböy. Although there were many versions (or not, depending if you believe this at all) according to this website:

Really cool site you posted there Mustang. I think Haunebu III looks about the coolest.

Is there a whole Conspiracy Theory about whether or not these things actually existed? It is interesting, I have never heard of this Conspiracy Theory before.

Sung(Posted 2009) [#10]
I have removed the other Pics ;-)
The model is now available on Turbosquid.

The Name Haunebu is a public name. The offical Name was "Dornier Stratosphärenflugzeug" DO-Stra.

There is a German website dedicated to the development of this roundabout flight gyroscope. Due to their descriptions, I have built this model. All images of flight gyroscope on the Internet are thus definitely wrong, such as design rather in the early'20s, rather than in the era of the development of V2 and Me262 fit.

Texture on the outside hull looks a bit low res. Maybe you could model these details, and create a better texture that way?
