thats cool king nothing... it would look good in a game

InvisibleKid(Posted 2009) [#3]
thanks for the comment nate..

its an enemy for the top down TD game i'm working on.

edit:
22 views and no other comments/critique/advice, i guess everyone else thinks it sucks and don't wanna hurt my feelings or something *rollseyes*.
i don't mind getting bad critique as long as its followed with some helpfull suggestions/advice. if someone doesn't like it thats fine say so, just don't say something like it sucks and leave it at that....

oh and for the record the dragon image will actually be smaller in game then it is in the video so it should/does(imo) look a little better smaller. also i don't even consider myself an amature computer graphics artist and i only spent maybe 12hrs total on it if that, and it didn't come out exactly as i pictured it (never does) but it came out better then what i was expecting so i'm pretty happy with the results.

Mmm, maybe he should have red eyes or maye sort of yellow/orange ones? Blue eyes seem to make him a bit too nice, unless he is a baby dragon.

InvisibleKid(Posted 2009) [#5]
puki posted as i added my edit:

thanks for the comment/suggestion, i was thinking the eyes made it look a little off aswell. when i made the eyes i was thinking of doing red but i thought that might clash with the body because the actuall image is only 128x128, or yellowish, but i thought that might be to much with the yellow spine spikes and horns. i think i might actually try to do something with them.

oh and ya i think the blue eyes kinda give him that 'hey come here and give me a hug' kinda look lol

edit:
heres a pic of the acctual size

edit2:
i did a quick edit with black red and orangie/yellowish eyes, and as i expected at that size the red eyes clash and the orangie/yellowish eyes definately don't look right to me with the horns there. so i think either the black or blue ones look fine imho.

His wings are kind of an odd shape...

I like the animation though.

InvisibleKid(Posted 2009) [#7]
thanks... i was gonna do a traditional bat style wing, but decided to kinda make my on style of everything altogether, plus over the years i've seen all sorts of different adaptations of dragons across the different media, from pictures in books, to toys, movies games.....etc. so i figured whats one more variation.

OwlEpicurus(Posted 2009) [#8]
I agree with Puki that the blue eyes don't quite fit, but the red eyes are difficult to see. The yellow eyes are a bit too bright, too. However, the black eyes look good.

InvisibleKid(Posted 2009) [#9]
thanks for the comment, i agree also, and when i first added the eyes i felt it made him look to nice aswell or kinda like a sad (very ugly) puppy. the red eyes kinda look cool when the pic is bigger but a no go at its proper size. so i guess i'll probably go through it all and change the eyes to black. i don't really mind the blue to much but i'm biased, and i do think i like the black slightly more.
