I've noticed that most commercial games(At least on the portals), include 3 pictures
of their game. 1 screenshot of the title screen, 1 screenshot of gameplay, and 1
'splash screen' as I believe they are called. We'll I figured if I want to sell Ping Pong Battle,
I need some kind of splash screen for it.

So here it is, made using MakeHuman and Blender.

Let me know what you think ;)

thats a big ping pong ball... you could break someone's face with it.

The biggest problem I see is that it does not reflect any aspect of your game. From what I can tell from previous screenshots of the game, there are no nets, tables, paddles, or humans.

If you show the title screen, gameplay, and then this, people are going to be utterly confused as to what your game is really about.

I agree with Sauer: the previous screenshoots of your game shown 'not-human-beeing' fighting on a 'field', launching themselves one (or more) 'balls of energy'.
I think you should concentrate on the cause of the 'conflict' (land? money? power? girls?) and use this to make a desing.
PS: I would use a ball-sphere of energy-or whatever on the word 'pong'

Hmm, you definitely have a good point.

It's going to be a tad hard though to figure out how to make this look
good, while still representing what my game is about...

Any ideas?

I want it to be 3D preferably, here's a screenshot of the actual gameplay
for comparison.

Cheers folks!

You should be able to use your current graphics for a splash screen. If this does not look good enough, then chances are you need to review the quality of your in game graphics.

This wasn't so much the case with older games, but now the expectations on graphics are so high that whats on the box needs to match whats on the game.

Oky doke, thanks Sauer!

I'll put together a scene with the in game graphics then :)

And the 3D Ping Pong Table, Ball, and characters I'll probably just give to the community
as free downloads when I get a chance to upload them :D

Cheers folks!

Walnut, I really like the image you did, but as others have pointed out, it really doesn't match your game very well.

I like it quite a bit to, but it really doesn't match the others, lol.

The cool thing is, I'm just learning Blender. considering that I'm just starting, the scene
looks pretty darn nifty!
