Depends on what you're going after -- with 4 wheels it would look more 'sporty', with 6 wheels more scientific? (The picture above definitely looks very 'TRON') |

I'd go for 4 wheels with that body, or if going for 6 then using smaller diameter front wheels maybe? I like it either way though. |

While you mentioned "explorer on mars" - this car looks more like an "racing game on mars" (with a bit sci-fi-influence aka electronically charged boundaries like in "F-Zero"). bye Ron |

Can't drive too fast on Mars due to lower gravity and wings won't help to keep it on the 'road' due to thinner admosphere? Since Mars has less mass than Earth, the surface gravity on Mars is less than the surface gravity on Earth. The surface gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth, so if you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh only 38 pounds on Mars. - The atmosphere of Mars is the layer of gases surrounding Mars. It is composed mostly of carbon dioxide. The atmospheric pressure on the Martian surface averages 600 pascals (0.087 psi; 6.0 mbar), about 0.6% of Earth's mean sea level pressure of 101.3 kilopascals (14.69 psi; 1.013 bar). So, I think 6 wheels for stability is no luxury there. And racing seems out of the question, unless the Rover has been made really heavy by concrete blocks made on Mars, but would make it pretty bulky. |

Didn't you know about gravity cores built in every car allowed to take part in races on mars? Of course your car also needs upgraded armory just to be able to cope with the sand storms "eating" the metal while driving. So you should start your racing career on earth to be able to buy these (and other) upgrades (gravity core lvl2 allows for a better control in this marsian environment). bye Ron |

From a practical standpoint I always had problems getting vehicles to steer with 6 wheels and physics so I always made my vehicles with 4 true physics wheels and 2 fake wheels if I wanted a 6 or more wheel vehicle. |

Well, on Mars I really doubt there are so many roads for a sport car. 6 wheels has a nicer aesthetic in my opinion. Forget reality go with style. 6 wheels all the way. |
