 Basically I have no idea how to reset this color so that it goes back to the default. Reason being is that I cannot display a picture as a background because that seems to override it! Thanks! |

| On an ipad at the moment but i think you need to change the aero glass color - right-click your desktop, display properties (i think). |

| Nope! Tried that! :) I can change the Aero Glass color but it's when I try to change the background color from 'Solid Colors' to pictures that it defaults to that colour in the pic. |

| Did you try choosing another Windows theme? If I right click on the desktop and select Personalize I see a bunch of choices. I'm not even sure what mine is. It just says Unsaved Theme. But I have a background picture. If all else fails maybe try System Restore to a time when it worked as expected. Last edited 2012 |

| Nope, didn't work! Thanks for the help though. I have still been unable to reset that colour to being not any colour. I've tried everything I can google regarding it and all have different suggestions etc but others having the same issue have had no luck either. I'm literally stuck not being able to have a background picture on my desktop because that colour in that stupid section of windows prevents it. What Kind of OS doesn't let you or provide a restore to defaults button? |

| Not seen this particular problem before. It sounds to me as if you have somehow messed up the profile. Try this: -Back up your Amon Home folder and call it amonbackup -Create a new ADMIN user called tempmofo. -restart- the computer (this is important) -log in as tempmofo -run explorer as admin so you can delete your amon folder -log in as amon again. -copy whatever you need back from amonbackup to amon. All non hidden stuff should be ok, docs, favs etc... (and whatever hidden appdata/localsettings you need (but be selective here, don't copy any MS windows settings back. In fact i would avoid copying all MS stuff back altogether) -leave tempmofo in place until you are sure profile is working properly. You may need to set up some stuff again because it will all be back to defaults (unless you copied the relevant app/data stuff) -reboot and make sure it all works. You should be back to normal. | All sorted now. Thanks all. The problem was a corrupted registry value that prevented the desktop wallpaper being shown. I'll post info in a bit; just going to watch England hopefully beat San Marino in the World Cup Qualifiers. |
