Yes, we at Playniax are doing a game for a client of ours that should be finished at the end of this month. It's again a space shooter and shows of our new framework and Monkey. Can't show anything right now because of the NDA but I think it's really showing of what Monkey can do.

hmm.. interesting. Thanks for sharing. Looks like Monkey is getting serious. Nice.

Monkey is serious from day 1. Zombie trailer park was made with the dev. version of Monkey before Monkey itself was released and it was a comercial serious game.

Maybe for Flash, but the other targets including Android and iOS no way in hell! We still havent seen a GLFW release I dont think...

Now 7 months later yeah... after a lot of beta testing by the users :P

Zombie Trailer Park is also available for iOS - I've played it on my old iPhone 3G, and if I remember this correctly, the iOS version was also available before the official monkey release.

I wonder why there is no Android version of the game? I would buy it in a heartbeat.

therevills(Posted 2011) [#10]
Ah yes I forgot about the iOS version... but I guess it was lucky, as when I converted my game to iOS and had quite a bit of issues due to how the music/resources were handled in the older versions of Monkey.

Hmm... what's the problem there?

taumel(Posted 2011) [#12]
It still depends on your needs and targets.

No full screen support, no changing resolutions (although I've added it to diddy)...

Also maybe because it is only OpenGL (duh!!!) :P

I havent played with it much, I've tested my stuff on it and it works (mostly... the generics bit was a big problem at the start of Monkey)... but it really needs to be tested on multiple PCs (lowend).
