I too got 44, almost 45 at the last second -- but I missed it and tried to hit the wrong one slightly above 'em :(

Not sure yet, originally was meant to be one of the sub games to getting a piece of the key to unlock the boss

Dammitt...i've been playing this game for the past 30 mins and i can only get 37!!!
