| Just wanting some early opinion on this while its still in development. www.teamrebellion.com The old site is www.teamrebellion.co.uk if you want to compare. On the .com what im looking for is comments on the main page. The only working links are the forums. |

| Well I don't like the old one better, which is probably good news since you've done a lot of work on the new one ;) The old one has all the things I hate in websites, scrolling text, drop down menus, that wire and monitor interface that practically every photoshop site on the net shows you how to make and animated GIF's. The basic site design was fine, but all those extras ruined it for me. I like clean and simple every time. The new site is much cleaner, much more readable, with a much more balanced layout. The colours on the main page are fine. My only criticism would be the banner. It's way too big and that bright blue with the plasma beam or whatever it is clashes somewhat with the rest of the page. If you could make that a lot smaller ( 1/2 at least ) and desaturate the colours a little, I think it'd be much better. Still a big step in the right direction in my opinion though. |

| Looks good. A few things that bother me though The news column might look better lined up with the quick news and the shout box. The quick news could have the same color blue as the submit area on the other side to balance color. It looks sort of like it might fall over to the right. The spaceship graphic has an outline around it. If you use PNG and transparency and put a white glow around it it would blend better with the background or just include it on the background. The graphic symbol in the center of the top looks great it just needs a uniform outline on it. It looks like it fades in and out sort of like a pencil outline. |

| Quick News is still to be done. so thats why its still blank. The space ship is actually one of a set of random images which I will add to l8r. these will all be images taken from our games, sort of like showing off game models. The rest of the comments are all good thanks a lot guys. Im still working on it and still have tons to do but I know now that IM going to keep the current layout and theme. |

| The masking on the images is bad. The logo is poorly rendered. The black text on the bar headers is, oddly enough, not contrasting enough. I don't know, might just be my eyes. The blue-on-blue in the chat box is a bad design idea (in my opinion), go for another color. Maybe put more spacing between the cells of the chat box too. And what's with the little boxes under the menu items? The old one is worse though, so you've obviously made an improvement. My opinion does not have to be taken into account or considered if you do not like it. |

| What little boxs. the image quality of the logo is semi delibarate as I want to keep the file size as low as possible. thats about as low as I can go while still holding the image at a good enough level to use. The image masking hasnt been touched yet like I already said thats part of a random image list.(which only has the ship) so that will be sorted l8r .. im just working on the layout just now. As for the black on blue. I feel that some times a strong contrast can be sore on the eyes just as much as a soft one. ie White text on black is really bad for your eyes. but is high in contrast. I may change it a little though. The Shoutbox and cell spacing, Yeah I agree 100% its actually the part of the site im working on right now. I have only just started to code in PHP(3 days now) so im still learning. I think what Ill do is finish it all off the re post this and see what you all think when the site is done. thanks for all the feedack. |
