Hi - I've done a bit more on my Gauntlet Inspired/Remake game. Core gameplay same as before, a few additional levels, level graphics changed. No music just yet. A few command line options available (see text file "command line options.txt" for details) Here are some new pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and download link (11 MB): http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~gezeder/lloyd/Gauntlet_V1.zip Oh..I know that many people thought I should include keyboard support. Keyboard support is available by passing the command line argument 'keyboard' (although the game really feels much better with a gamepad, it loses something with keyboard controls (cursor keys, A/Z shoot/drink potion, 1/2/3/4 select character) Known bug/issue: If the graphics setup program is run it ignores command line parameters. This usually means that on the first time the game is run it will ignore command line parameters. |

I gotta play this later when I have some free time. Nice Eye candy. The original arcade game was awe inspiring. |

You might want to try using some alpha on that HUD :) |

Instead of making keyboard acess via comand line. Add an option to the setup.exe Brainstorming: - dungeon walls are too dark - you should mark the level "exits" like in the original: Warp lvl 8, 6, etc - Hero should be able to fire and turn at least! - add autofire, as its pain for my fingers pressing fire button all day - doors and wall edges are hard to see, as the 3D perspective makes this difficult Keep it up. |
