Looks awesome - especially the Norse level. One of my favourite games ever.

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2008) [#3]
I take it all back... I didn't like the screen-shot of the giant demon posted in another thread, but these shots look sweet as.

That's a unique graphics style. Very nicely done.

coffeedotbean(Posted 2008) [#5]
Looks great as said the norse level on the boat is impressive. This and the Ruff'n'tumble remake will be great.

QuickSilva(Posted 2008) [#6]
Looking really good but I can`t help but miss the pixel art of the original.

The speccy version was great! I`m still really looking forward to this though as it looks like you are doing a very nice job with it.

BMax I presume?

Jason.

People might come looking for you if you hadn't misspelled your own website url in your signature. The URL should be

Oh, and the Norse level does indeed look very special.

MGE(Posted 2008) [#12]
Yah, this game looks great. I love the site as well. With your talents heating up, could be time for a shareware original you could sell. :)

Hotshot2005(Posted 2008) [#15]
That is Great.
IF I remmy correctly, the C64 title screen in Myth(Cart version) was best music I ever heard!

Myth is Great game and I cant wait to play your remake game :)

tonyg(Posted 2008) [#16]
Looks good. Is your main character a single sprite or 'boned'?

Grisu(Posted 2008) [#17]
just WOW... :)

Chugs40(Posted 2008) [#18]
Wow, looks good to me!

Retimer(Posted 2008) [#19]
Commercial quality yet free. Amazing work, good job. I love the sprites...they don't look like pixel art, but they also don't look like 3d renders turned into sprites (which isn't that great either).

Have you two done the art yourselves?

Grey Alien(Posted 2008) [#20]
Coolness, looking forward to trying this out. It's great you make loads of free remakes, but aren't you ever tempted to make a commercial game with your skills?

I think everyone does it for their own reasons.

Personally if I ever found myself investing large quantities of time only to give everything away gratis, I think I might have to have myself sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Each to their own, though.

I was wondering why I couldnt remember this one for the C-64. Then I looked up the link on Lemon. Aah...1989. I had moved onto St/Amiga by then!

It looks good though. Graphics look very Amiga/Coin-op circa early 90's. Well done, and hope you finish.

Réno(Posted 2008) [#23]
Yes, very impressive ! Good work !

The arts are really nice and the game seems very polished.

The thunder effects on the boat is fantastic :)))

Imphenzia(Posted 2008) [#24]
Not sure about the legal side of remakes and stuff, but I would be interested in providing free remake/remix of the original music score if you haven't gotten that arranged already.

I've released some C64-remixes at remix64.com. If you want to listen here's an example of a C64-remix of The Fallen.

Here's a sample of a remix in progress with some more retro feel to it with the arpeggiated sounds.

And finally here is another retro-remake using a bit more orchestral approach.

Hope you're project is going well and it'll be fun to give the game a try :)

Grey Alien(Posted 2008) [#25]
I recommend Imphenzia as his music is great.

TaskMaster(Posted 2008) [#26]
Wow, this looks really good...

I have not played Myth though, so I think I will check out the original.

Can I request Kennedy Approach and or M.U.L.E. as the next remakes? :)

Those were my favorite C64 games. I still play them on an emulator.

Stu_ovine(Posted 2008) [#27]
>Imphenzia

We havent had much trouble with any of the remakes we have done so far, all of our remakes have been free and its only 1 that we couldnt release as it was due to be seen on "other" formats.

We'll certainly bare you in mind for future projects - or if our resident Music-all-round-nice-guy Infamous http://www.infamousuk.com is rushed off his feet :). Theres always a need for good music in my opinion ;)

Nice web site BTW.

Sample of his work hes done for us so far http://www.retroremakes.com/wordpress/infamousovine-soundtrack

Does anyone find this Game as I know it is been 7 years ago but I seem think it been unreleased due copyright which is a shame.
