.JPG misbehaving

I have a .jpg image of an acoustic guitar which when opened in an editor,
(Micrografx Picture Publisher, Paint.NET, Photoshop) and/or Windows Photo Viewer displays as normal except upon building my program, (Desktop Game), instead displaying only the background colour of the image.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and how is this corrected?

Monkey's app doesn't support progressive jpeg encoding. Check your image for that.
